Cleopatra arrived at Russia from historical motherland of maine coon breed - from American state Maine. A good deal of foundation blood runs in her veins. The cattery Dirigo (meaning "native to Maine") has been breeding maine coons for over 35 years now and actually stands at the sources of the breed renaissance in the 70-s of the last century. The cattery owner Mrs. Beth Kus is the author of numerous scientific articles devoted to maine coon breed history and development in the USA and all over the world. For many years she works over expansion of the breed gene pool adding fresh blood and eliminating genetic defects. Cleopatra is a very typical representative of Dirigo lines featuring robust health, charming behaviour and unimaginably sweet temper. Her specific "facial expression" reveals her belonging to the cattery of Beth Kus. Like any poly Cleo exhibits high intelligence and smartness. She is very communicable, obedient, playful and affectionate. This tender and credulous kitten conquers human hearts at first sight and arouses everybody's adoration. We hope very much that Cleopatra will pass these character features to her kittens.
In her appearance Cleo resembles old pictures of the very first maine coons attended the shows at the dawn of the 19th century. She has very dense and long coat, muscular body, strong muzzle of medium length with excellent profile and high forehead. Widely opened innocent eyes and neat, excellently furred ears complete her uncommon image.
